There's three boards in the game,

The main fight is the middle board, if you kill the main boss, you win! congrats

The right board has 3 buttons : the left and right side buttons will upgrade the amount of flippers you have, and the middle button makes your ball do more damage.

Hitting targets on the left board will make the main fight easier. If you break the eggs, there will be less raptors spawning in the middle,
